happy meltdown...

I have no idea what happened. One moment we were puttering along doing a normal day & then the next moment we were sitting across from each other throwing ideas back & forth about what we could do next. End result: a new print calendar (no, not the one we already released...;-)) & breadboards from reclaimed wood & two new #WomenRising sculptures & a workshop in Bozeman & two other ideas we're not going to tell you because we need to work out the bugs first...:-))

It probably helps to know that we'd made a semi-serious vow a few weeks ago to just work with the ideas we already had. Until at least the end of the year. But that all fell apart when the doorbell rang this morning & FedEx showed up with the signatures & the cover for the new book. (Signatures, if you don’t know, are the full printed sheets of a book before they’re folded & cut down). It was so beautiful to hold it all in our hands that we couldn't keep from bouncing all over the living room saying This. Is. So. Great.

& the cover, well, the cover you can see for yourself. Notice how the crows keep showing up. (I'm sure we'll have something to say about the crows one of these days, but for the moment, they make us both smile every time we see them. Which is enough for us...)

We just got so excited we couldn't help ourselves. Which is why I chose this story for today. Because you may not know it, but everything we've been doing lately is because of this walking side by side. The way we're both willing to gallop wildly off in all directions at once, together. How much we thrill about imagining what a life can be, not only for us but for everyone else, too...

It's a life we're discovering every day & even if it means that our idea list is never-ending, I wouldn't change a bit of it...

with love,
b

p.s. As you can see, the new calendar is full of color. If you don't have your copy yet, I just put all of the pages up on Flying Edna so you can see every one.  Click here to check it out...
