We were experimenting with different color schemes on scraps of wood, and what resulted were even smaller-scale landscape paintings on reclaimed hardwood blocks. Each shaped & painted by hand here in our studio, just like the bigger ones. Only smaller...;-)

This one comes in two versions. One with words & one without. Here are the words on the one: grateful for the moments with you that make this life real

If you'd like to see the 8x10 bird & brush print version of the words, click here...

  • hardwood block species will vary.  currently we have available oak & hickory
  • average dimensions: 5" W x 2 1/4" H x 7/8" D
  • each block is shaped & painted here in the studio with our unique bird & brush process:  the final piece has eight layers - hand-sanded gesso, gouache acrylic paint, a secret hand written wish,  making each piece an original in its own right.
  • our bird & brush studio signature on the back
  • natural grain on the sides & back exposed to show the story of wood
  • comes in an organic cotton bag with the Flying Edna logo & a card describing the wood species and origin
