story keeper sculpture: astro chips (original)
Story Keeper Sculptures are a loving nod to Kai's earlier work that he visioned & created over 25 years ago. As a result of his own evolution, these flying, dancing beings now have a way to change the story that sits on the piece whenever you wish.
The only one of its kind, the artist proof for the storykeeper that became 'breeze.'
This piece was handcrafted here in our our studio, by Kai, from a mix of reclaimed wood species - shown in the photos you'll see corral board - old fenceposts from Wyoming & Montana farms; redwood from a pickle brine barrel out of Oregon; oak from a sustainable tree farm in France that has been in the same family for over 350 years; & hickory from a barn in North Dakota. The face was drawn by hand.
The story shown is 'bright light', but you can choose any story from this collection of contemporary storyblocks
