mermaid revenge art print
We used to swim at the lake right near my grandparents’ house & then one time afterwards, we all got stomach flu & my grandpa said it was because mermaids poop in the water to get back at us kids for making so much noise. I was never quite sure if he was serious, but for a long time after that, I made it a habit to swim more quietly & also I quit peeing in the lake because who knows what kind of mermaid revenge that would lead to.
