shipping & returns

1. How do I return something I ordered? We accept returns within 30 days of the purchase date, & the item(s) must be in resalable condition. Once received, your original payment will be credited (shipping costs are non-refundable). 

2. May I exchange something I ordered or received as a gift? If you would like to exchange an item, it needs to be within 30 days of the purchase date & in resalable condition. Once received, we will send an invoice for the shipping charge for the preferred item. 

Please note: if this is a custom order, a commission or an original, we cannot accept either a return or an exchange unless we've had a conversation & agreed upon another alternative.

3. Shipping general information

We would love to offer free shipping on everything, but at this moment, we cannot afford to do that without raising prices elsewhere... which feels disingenuous. We want you to know what you're paying for. There is no such thing as free shipping in any company - that cost has to be accounted for somewhere - whether it's in the price of the product you are purchasing, or in a wage offered to an employee in the company. 

Our shipping prices are flat fees - whether the package is headed a few blocks away or across the country. 

We can promise you that we do not make money on shipping - at the very best, we attempt to break even for the costs of the box, packing materials, labor, & of course shipping itself. We choose 100% recyclable materials to make everything easier on you and on the planet, which unfortunately in this day and age is still a more expensive path to walk.

Right now we work with USPS on our regular mail and priority mail packages. And for our larger and heavier packages we use FedEx or UPS. We are mindful when we are creating our products how packaging & shipping costs will be affected. 

4. Packing slips

In order to save paper on our end and trash on yours, we do not include packing slips or receipts in the orders. There is a clear digital trail to the order, for you and for us. Of course if you have any questions about this, please do not hesitate to let us know.
