story keeper sign sculpture: pour me

Story keeper sign sculptures are a nod to Kai's earlier work, but with a special spin of being able to change your story over time... & he's added quirky imaginary signs.

The sculptures are handcrafted here in our our studio, by Kai, from a mix of reclaimed wood species - shown in the photos you'll see corral board - old fenceposts reclaimed from Wyoming & Montana farms; redwood reclaimed from a pickle brine barrel out of Oregon; oak from a sustainable tree farm in France that has been in the same family for over 350 years; & hickory reclaimed from a barn razed in North Dakota. And the face was hand drawn.

  • dimensions: 15 1/4" W (not incl. wire hair) x 30" H x 2 3/4" D
  • all our storyblocks are painted here in the studio with our unique bird & brush process: the final piece has six layers of paint, ink, & graphite (including a secret handwritten wish...)
  • our flying edna studio signature on the back of the sculpture

The master of this piece was created by Kai & Fia in late 2020/early 2021.
