the first ones to map the stars also knew to map the dark places in between, because they saw the world as it was, whole & alive & every path you take is never only one thing but always threading between the known & the unknown, between where you are going & what you imagine that to be.

  • hardwood block species will vary.  currently we have available oak, elm, ash & hickory
  • average dimensions: 4.5" W x 5" H x 7/8" D
  • each block is shaped & painted here in the studio with our unique bird & brush process:  the final piece has eight layers - hand-sanded gesso, gouache acrylic paint, a secret hand written wish, & only one layer is a UV ink print we use as a guide - making each piece an original in its own right. 
  • story on the front, with our bird & brush studio signature on the back
  • natural grain on the sides & back exposed to show the story of wood
  • comes in an organic cotton bag with the Flying Edna logo & a card describing the wood species and origin
