our vert series

We begin with a "vert" - Latin for "to turn to - & then we consider the things in the natural world that we turn to when we need to refresh, refuel, rebalance... we lightly refer to this series as our "verts"

Scientifically unproven & perfectly plausible (because extrovert & introvert are simply not enough...)

We originally crafted storyblocks because we love language. We wanted something more beautiful than a post-it note to lovingly remind us to pause in our day... to rebalance... to notice all the places joy patiently waits for us to find it. 

Once part of towering living trees, then repurposed for a building or a barn, now reclaimed to carry our stories - we choose each hardwood plank intentionally. It's a practice we joy in: crafting something with care, working with existing materials, remembering we're only one small part of the story of this wild planet we share... 

Each storyblock comes wrapped in the pages of an old book we've found at various library sales here on Cape, so even if it's for you, it feels like a gift...
