original watercolor: 'listener is in'

Original watercolor from 2006. Published in 'some kind of ride'. (The figure on the left is wearing the prototype for a monster line of t-shirts. It's still something I come back to every few years...:-))

For 'some kind of ride' I wanted to see how the images would work if they were drawn from the very start to fit across a double page spread. It was an interesting process, but I don't think I'll do it that way again. It's much more intriguing to see how a random pairing of words & images makes things mean something different than I first expect...:-)
