Original sketches in pen & ink & watercolor.

This is a working drawing & it's one of the few remaining examples of how kai worked  when he was putting together a book. As you can see from the sequence, he bounces from idea to idea & fills them in with quick sketches as he captures what's going on in his mind. These sketches are from the time he was working on the book 'some kind of ride'.

As a side note, the reindeer games story was produced as an alternative holiday card (as you might imagine. HA.)
